Toxic mucositis (idiosyncratic drug reaction): A chronic ulcer is present on the right alveolar ridge. Some drugs which may cause toxic mucositis include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, colloidal gold and tricyclic antidepressants. The ulcer is a side-effect of the drug and not an allergic reaction. |
