Course Description

Current challenges in endodontic practice regularly lead to the pursuit of innovative approaches and techniques. Every year we are presented a series of alternatives that may or may not improve the clinician efficiency and the overall treatment outcome. This course intends to bring, for a frank and open discussion, critical topics of our specialty to your awareness. Contemporary approaches, based on credible evidence, will be presented by members of the Endodontics Department at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. We plan to confer with the general dentists, students, and endodontists about the latest analytical information and hopefully generate several conversations

Objectives

Participants should be to:

*  Recognize the value of technological advancements in clinical practice;

* Identify current approaches to vital pulp therapy;

* Describe the latest strategies on apical barriers in the face of new materials;
