--- Sterilizer Monitoring Program

The University of Iowa Sterilizer Monitoring Program provides biological monitoring tests for sterilizer users across the country. We offer weekly and monthly testing programs to meet the requirements for dental offices, medical clinics, spas, and tattoo studios. Our many years of experience with monitoring allow us to provide prompt, knowledgeable, courteous service to our clients. The benefits of our program include:

• Rapid testing. Results from steam sterilizers are available 24 hours after receipt of test.
• Unlimited access to test results. Our website allows unlimited access to test results from the past 3 years, including cultures received and in progress.
• All positive results are telephoned immediately. Retest strips are sent free of charge for all positive results.
• Postage paid envelopes are provided for return of specimens.
• Tests are identified with bar codes to ensure accurate entry of client information and proper identification of each test.
• Consultation with faculty and staff is available at no charge.
• Clients have the ability to go paperless. Offices can opt out of receiving routine culture reports by mail.
• Proceeds from the program promote the education of dental students at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

• 52 test strips, postage paid envelopes, and bar coded submission forms

• The fee for a full year of service is $260 per sterilizer

Monthly testing kits includes

• 12 test strips, postage paid envelopes, and bar coded submission forms

• The fee for a full year of service is $72 per sterilizer
