Abbey Ambroson (graduate fellow in Preventive & Community), Dr. Howard Cowen, and Jennifer Hartshorn (formerly a graduate fellow in Preventive & Community and now a clinical assistant professor in the department). Drs. Ambroson and Hartshorn both received the Samuel Johnston Student Fellowship Award, which was presented to them by Dr. Cowen. The award is presented to a student with outstanding care and skill and the desire to continue training in geriatric and special care.

Dr. Peter Damiano and Dr. Astha Singhal, a graduate student in Preventive & Community. Astha was recognized for receiving third place in the Post-Doctoral Poster/Table Clinic Competition. Her mentor was Dr. Damiano.

Dr. Steve Levy and Dr. Tariq Ghazal, a graduate student in Preventive & Community Dentistry. Dr. Ghazal was recognized for receiving the Keith E. Heller Dental Public Health Graduate Resear ch Award. He was also recognized for receiving first place in the Post-Doctoral/Graduate Dental Specialty Award Competition.

Dr. Teresa Marshall and Dr. Kelly Jones, graduate student in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Jones was recognized for receiving a first-place Post-Doctoral/Graduate Dental Specialty Award. Her mentor was Dr. Marshall.

Dr. Raymond Kuthy and Dr. Susan McKernan, visiting assistant professor in Preventive & Community. Dr. McKernan was recognized for receiving honorable mention, Leverett Graduate Student Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dental Public Health from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry. Her mentor was Dr. Kuthy.

Dr. John Warren and Dr. Elham Kateeb, a graduate student in Preventive & Community. Dr. Kateeb was recognized for receiving third place, Leverett Graduate Student Merit Award for Outstanding Achieve- ment in Dental Public Health from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry. Her mentor was Dr. Warren.

Dr. Jennifer Hartshorn; Dr. Lindsey Cosper, visiting a ssistant professor in Preventive & Community; Dr. Howard Cowen; and Dr. Abbey Ambroson. They were recognized for being the first recipients of the Geriatric Fellowship Certificate.
