Soft-tissue Lasers

Many dental procedures often require manipulation of soft tissues surrounding the teeth. Traditionally, a small surgical blade would often be used to perform procedures such as:

  • Esthetic Crown Lengthening (treatment of a gummy smile)
  • Implant exposure
  • Frenulum release
  • Soft-tissue biopsy
  • Gingival (gum-tissue) overgrowth removal
  • Exposure of slowly erupting teeth

Contemporary soft-tissue dental lasers now enable the dentist to remove soft-tissues  without creating any bleeding, and with faster healing timeframes. Use of soft-tissue lasers often allows the dentist to perform more delicate procedures, thus creating a situation that is more amenable for the patient.
