Obesity and Periodontal Inflammation

Objective: 

A cross-sectional study to evaluate obesity as a potential risk factor for inflammation in peri-implant tissues.

Recruitment Information: 

If you are 18 years old or older and have had a dental implant for at least 6 months you may be eligible to participate in a research study evaluating obesity and inflammation in the mouth.  To be eligible you must not smoke, have uncontrolled diabetes, be pregnant, have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or any artificial joints, or currently be taking antibiotics.
