Oral Health Intervention for Persons with Dementia

Objective: 

Aim 1. Develop a functionally-tailored, modular oral care intervention for community-dwelling PWD and their caregivers.
Aim 2. Conduct a 4-week study of the proposed intervention among 8 pairs of community-dwelling PWD and their caregivers, evaluating the feasibility of the proposed intervention.

Recruitment Information: 

Individuals age 50+ invited to participate in an oral health study conducted by The University of Iowa, Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry.  Participants will undergo oral examination, be asked to participate in an interview regarding their oral health and dentally-related activities assessment. The total time is approximately 60 minutes. Participation in this study will be compensated with $50/person.
