Upon your initial visit, an interview is conducted to ascertain the specific goals and concerns of your care. Enough time is set aside to review your general health history, perform an in-depth clinical exam to evaluate the soft-tissues inside and outside of the mouth, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), the occlusion (bite), the periodontium (bone and soft-tissue support for the teeth), the dentition (existing restorations, missing teeth, etc.), and any other specific needs or concerns that you may have regarding your oral health. Our goal is to utilize this visit to collect all pertinent information, and to educate you about the state of your oral health while discussing any necessary preventive or restorative treatments. As part of our educational mission, your understanding and comprehension of your oral health status is of utmost importance to us.
