Financial Aid

Eligibility for financial aid is based on need established by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who have been admitted to, or who are currently enrolled in the College of Dentistry, are eligible to apply for financial aid.

Students may receive Health Professions Loans, Perkins Loans, and Stafford/Ford Loans. In addition, loans are available from private sources through the College of Dentistry. Scholarships are available from the U.S. Air ForceU.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Army National Guard and the National Health Services Corps.

Qualified dental students who are interested in research may receive the Iowa Institute of Oral Health Award.

Delta Dental of Iowa offers loan repayment of up to $100,000 for dentists practicing in rural, underserved areas in Iowa.
