Housed in the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, the Continuing Dental Education (CDE) Office offers 23-25 courses annually for approximately 1,300 dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and dental laboratory technicians. Guest clinicians and local faculty present lecture, demonstration and participation programs in all the clinical disciplines.

The goal of CDE is to create opportunities for leadership, collaboration, and professional development for university-based continuing dental education professionals to provide the highest quality of CDE.

Dental and dental hygiene students are encouraged to participate in selected courses during their fourth year. Residents and students can attend CDE courses free of charge if the course has not sold out.
